Update:

The herbs are growing well, everything is over an inch tall, (except the thyme, i think the birds ate them all) I started college and I love it so much! My favorite class is Ballroom Two, currently we are learning the Viennese Waltz, it looks so classy! Today I received the Melchizedek Priesthood, I'm looking forward to using it to serve others! No other real updates today....

Oh Heavens!

So over the summer, i have been so busy and distracted I have forgotten completely about my blog. 

Quick Updates!

Herbs (not herb... HERB)

Parsley and Thyme and Mint have yet to sprout. 

Basil is super leafy, but the bugs like to eat it as much as I do (maybe even more)

Rosemary is flowering and smells divine!

I painted a painting of some flowers a long time ago, i'm very pleased with how it turned out, but then when it was dry, I brought it in the house and realized the whole painting is PURPLE! Still, it is a lovely painting.

I finished APTC (Aaronic Priesthood Training Camp) [I was co-music chairman in the presidency] I love that camp! my co-music chair buddy just got his mission call! He's so awesome! Today I was interviewed by my stake president for the Melchezidek (did I spell it right?) Priesthood! I can't wait to receive it and be of service to those who need it! (I did the math, I can start my papers Jan 25th)

I feel like Buddy the Elf... "I saw a dog today!"

Sprouts!!!

That's right everybody, i've been constantly checking my little pots of herbs and have even dreamt about the darned little seedlings... My little sister was watering the seeds the night after I planted them, and she was using a full force blast from the hose, so for a while I thought the whole herb growing was going to fail, BUT this morning I checked the herbs and lo and behold, there are two little parsley seedlings popped out of the dirt! I have been ecstatic all day! In other news the rosemary has been thriving and growing like crazy, so my dad made roast beef with rosemary, it was delicious! everyone should use fresh rosemary when they cook! I'm hooked! All i can do now is hope that the basil, mint, and thyme grows soon!

Summer Tiiiiiiime!

And the feeling is easy! Since graduation I have been in California, Zion National Park, and my beautiful hometown, I had so much fun I forgot to take pictures. Summers here are notorious for being really hot (and winters are insanely freezing) and both last forever! I don't really believe this at all, yes winter is freezing and when it is snowing the beginning of May I'm not the most pleasant of people, but I enjoy the seasons so much! After Winter comes Spring, and it is gorgeous! When all the flowers bloom and all the trees wake up from their winter dreams it not only smells divine, but looks like the perfect painting of life right outside my house! With Spring comes rain, and yes, those who live in Logan seem to have not seen an end to all the rain and wetness. I love the rain, especially the aroma it has! It stopped raining for a few days and has been sunny so today I decided to plant my herb garden. I've wanted to do this for a lot of years, and after my vegetable garden fiasco (the night everything was planted it poured buckets of rain and released all the seeds from the dirt and the birds ate it all), I've been determined to have a successful growing season. This year instead of turning my dog's territory into fresh fertile ground, (a huge task seeing that rocks must make rock babies there and no where else) and lots of weeding, and planting enough vegetables and fruit to survive the seven years of skinny cows and the EPA; I am only growing five herbs. Rosemary, Basil, Mint, Thyme, and Parsley. All but the rosemary is being grown from seeds, I was informed it takes a lot of skill and time to grow rosemary from seeds so I bought a plant. After consulting the all knowing google, i gave up and sprinkled the seeds covered them with a little dirt, and watered them. We'll see how this goes! I can smell the herb baguettes in the future already!
